Pocket Waves is designed as an offline music player. We built it to give you a seamless, powerful, and customizable music experience — entirely on your device, without relying on the internet or collecting your personal data.

What We Collect (Very Little)

Pocket Waves is an offline music player. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information.
• We do not track your listening history or habits.
• We do not access or upload your music files to any server.
• We do not display ads or use ad networks that collect data.
• We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

All your music data — playlists, favorites, settings, and library — stays entirely on your device.

Permissions We Request

To function properly as a music player, Pocket Waves may request the following device permissions:

• Storage / Media Access: To scan your device for music files and display your local library. We only read audio files — we never write to, upload, or modify them.
• Notifications: To show playback controls (play, pause, skip) in your notification bar for a seamless listening experience.
• Foreground Service: To keep music playing even when you switch apps or lock your screen.

These permissions are used solely for delivering the music playback features. No data is transmitted outside your device based on these permissions.

Where Your Data Lives

All app data — including your playlists, favourite songs, equalizer settings, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. Pocket Waves does not use cloud storage, remote databases, or any external servers.

When you uninstall the app, all locally stored app data is deleted from your device. We never retain copies of your data on any server.

Third-Party Services

Pocket Waves does not integrate with third-party advertising networks, analytics platforms, or data brokers.

If future versions of the app include optional features (such as cloud backup, music metadata lookup, or album art fetching), we will update this policy accordingly and clearly disclose what data, if any, is shared with third-party services — and will only do so with your explicit consent.

Children's Privacy

Pocket Waves does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since our app does not collect any personal data at all, it is safe for users of all ages. However, we recommend parental guidance for younger users regarding device usage and content.

Your Rights & Control

Since Pocket Waves does not collect personal data, there is no user profile or database record associated with you. You are always in full control:

• You can revoke device permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.
• You can delete the app to remove all locally stored app data.
• You can contact us if you have any concerns about privacy — we're happy to help.

Security

Because Pocket Waves stores everything locally and transmits no data over the internet, there is no network-level risk associated with using the app. Your music library and preferences remain private on your device, protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption, etc.).

We encourage you to keep your device's operating system updated for the latest security protections.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and may notify you through the app.
